If you’re in love with Whataburger, like so many Texans, and planning on getting tangled, prepare to flip the burger chain’s Valentine’s Day promotion.

On January 17th, the San Antonio-based company launched its first WhataWedding competition. The six winning couples can get married or renew their vows on Valentine’s Day at any of six Whataburger restaurants in Texas, including one in Houston.

“From engagement photos to wedding cakes to cookies – even late night honey butter chicken cookies for their guests – our fans have found really creative ways to include Whataburger [in] her big day, ”said Pam Cox, vice president of people and brand communications at Whataburger, in a press release. “Nothing says love at first sight like Whataburger wedding bells do, and we can’t wait to celebrate some love stories with some of our own Whataburger superfans!”

So what’s in a WhataWedding?

Well, each couple receives a wedding award package worth about $ 1,970. Package includes a photographer, official, wedding cake, $ 100 Whataburger gift card, and up to 20 Whataburger meals. The grand prize-winning couple will also receive $ 5,000 in cash – enough money to buy (or honeymoon) around 1,600 regular Whataburgers.

Participants will be assessed using an essay of up to 500 words describing a couple’s love story and explaining why they would like to get married in a Whataburger restaurant. The deadline for entries is February 2nd at 5 p.m.

In addition to the Houston Store at 1110 Silver Rd. Orange and white decorated WhataWedding ceremonies are held at these five Whataburger locations:

  • College Station, 451 Wellborn Rd.

  • Corpus Christi, 121 N. Shoreline Blvd.

  • Fort Worth, 2209 N. Tarrant Pkwy.

  • Grand Prairie, 930 E. I-30

  • Converse, 3839 E. Loop 1604 N.

Bad news for Florida, New York, and Rhode Island residents: You are not eligible to enter the competition.
