HERRIN (WSIL) – The wedding season is approaching and with vaccine distributions and loose restrictions, some of our local wedding venues are fully booked.
The owners of the DragonFly wedding venue in Herrin said the past year had been a challenge because the pandemic was too unsafe.
They tell News 3 before Covid-19, they had 50 weddings planned. When the venues reopened, 28 small ceremonies took place. But this year they are looking forward to 62 weddings.
“We’re just thrilled that we can be open and that we can give the couples the wedding experience they originally wanted. So we’ll be very busy here, but I’m just so excited that we can offer our couples”, said Dana Garegnani.
She says she values her customers’ patience and support.
