ROCKINGHAM COUNTY, VA. (WHSV) – It’s wedding season and after a tough year in the pandemic, many venues are excited to see more people tie the knot this summer.
CrossKeys Vineyards in Mount Crawford celebrated its first wedding of the season earlier this month, just ending a ceremony on Saturday.
Shelby Irwin, event manager at the Vineyard, said they had weddings of 20 to 120 people.
“It was great to have her back. It was great to keep her personal again and to let everyone celebrate together, ”said Irwin.
Irwin said it was great to see the ceremonies happen, especially those that have been postponed due to the pandemic.
“We have had a couple of weddings that have been planning this since 2018, 2019 and are due to get married in 2020. Here we are in 2021,” said Irwin.
Weddings were suspended at CrossKeys Vineyards from March to August 2020, and Irwin said they had few in the fall, so looks forward to at least one a week for the next several months.
