The citizenship in the city of Kalyan in the Thane district of Maharashtra has sealed two wedding locations.

According to the Kalyan Dombivli Municipal Corporation (KDMC), guests did not wear masks during the April 3 event and maintained social distance.

The city administration said that around 900 to 1,000 people were present for the event.

Officials also cracked down on an open-air wedding in Kolegaon, where around 150 people were in attendance Monday.

The KDMC has also sealed five stores, a social club, a supermarket and two wine stores for violating the COVID-19 protocols.
