The MLB flagship store opened on Friday at 1271 Avenue of the Americas in Midtown Manhattan. MLB NYC will be the first permanent MLB retail store in the US to feature an Apple Industries Inc. photo booth for fans to print or upload photos to share on social media, according to a press release.
The deal is the result of a partnership between Major League Baseball and Legends, a premium experience company with global expertise in merchandising, sales, partnerships, planning, technology and hospitality.
The MLB flagship store extends over two floors and covers an area of around 950 square meters. It offers the world’s largest range of MLB products in-store, including over 10,000 capsules, an extensive memorabilia section featuring merchandise used and signed by games, and a special Derek Jeter 2020 Hall of Fame collection of exclusive signed items.
Some of the brands represented in the store are Nike, New Era Cap, ’47, Topps, Mitchel & Ness, Rawlings and Stance.
The store has a large customization station that allows fans to personalize MLB replica jerseys and stance socks.
