MONESSEN, Pa. (KDKA) – Despite the pandemic, weddings are still taking place. If you are a bride on a budget and in need of a dress, you might be in luck. A thrift shop has some great deals on wedding dresses.
The Monessen St. Vincent de Paul store is a place to find used treasure, but this weekend it will be a bridal boutique for new wedding dresses and the accessories that come with entering the world of marital madness.

It started with a call to Kathleen Molesky with the St. Vincent de Paul Society from a bridal shop with a little too much stock.
“Our dresses were donated from the Bella Sposa Bridal Shop in Little Washington, Pennsylvania,” she said, adding, “Either they are out of inventory, they couldn’t order, or they just changed inventory. ”
According to Molesky, she was told there would be 10 when she was told they were going to get dressed. What she didn’t realize at the time: 10 bags were on their way and a lot more.
“We have bridesmaid dresses, mother of the bride, cocktail dresses,” she said.
And these kinds of things are called “stuff” by grooms and “accessories” by brides.

“Our accessories include champagne glasses, cake toppers and wishing wells,” she said.
She says dresses priced up to $ 800 go for just $ 20.
“We’ve had several calls over the past few days and a few people tried to get in here, but we were strong.”
Incidentally, the event is entitled “Say yes to the dress”.
“We copied that, I hope I don’t go to jail,” said Molesky
