International Class 009 Extended Coverage Verbiage

All of Apple’s three figurative trademark filings offer an excessive list of entries that are almost common in Hong Kong filings. The class usually includes boiler plate entries such as fire extinguishers, garage door openers, and dog whistles, all of which Apple is never sold under the Apple logo. Rather than repeating it under each of the trademark filings above, we present it to you below as a single example of Apple’s entries for international class 009 coverage.

5 Example of class 009 coverage

It should be noted that international trademark classes under which Apple files its trademarks are important as trademark registration only protects the classes identified in their original application. In a dispute, the classes originally filed could lead or break a dispute.
